The honorees took center stage at the festively decorated Bürgergesellschaft Hof. Management praised them as “cornerstones” who have contributed to the company's success for decades with their experience, loyalty, and reliability. Whether they have been with the company for 10, 25, or 40 years, each honor spoke of personal commitment and shared development. The ceremonial presentation of the anniversary medals on stage, accompanied by warm applause, provided an emotional highlight right at the start.
After the awards ceremony, the focus shifted to what SOMMER is all about. Over a festive meal, guests laughed, talked, and toasted each other – visibly relieved after an intense year. As every year, a special moment was the specially produced video that portrayed each individual honoree and revealed a new, personal side to them. Among other things, the honorees revealed their “superpower” – a question that provided charming insights. Thomas Hetzel, for example, tongue-in-cheek referred to his wife as his superpower. The video once again showed the colorful mix of personalities that make up the company – and illustrated how much the people at SOMMER support each other and the company as a whole.
But the evening wasn't just a celebration it turned into a lively get-together. Colleagues competed in exciting duels for every tenth of a second on a Formula 1 racing simulator. On the specially constructed wooden curling rink, where the game was played in true style with small tree trunks, the teams fought for every point with visible joy. The raffle added extra excitement and happy winners.
Later, three live acts created a real party atmosphere and turned the Christmas party into a celebration that lasted into the night.
In the end, it was not just a great party and a tribute to long-standing employees. The guiding principle of the evening was palpable: to give something back to the people who have been driving SOMMER forward with heart and energy for years and decades.
It was an evening that demonstrated what SOMMER stands for – solidarity, respect, and the firm conviction that success is based on the people who give their best every day. Thank you to all those who are part of this success story.
